Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission A will summon Head of Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept, Subejo in the near future.

Summoning is done following fire case in Parama Apartment on Jl TB Simatupang, Cilandak Barat, Cilandak, South Jakarta which does not have improper functioning certificate (SLF) since 2000.
"We'll summon dept head to give explanation and clarification. Considering similar incident had occurred," said Syarif, Secretary of Jakarta DPRD Commission A, Tuesday (8/15).
Parama Apartment Should Be EmptyHe assessed, fire incident in the apartment proves if Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept has been missed in overseeing the protection system of the building.
"This has ever happened in Kosgoro Building. Every building must have the fire protection standards. Maybe the system is good, but because it is not monitored thus it is untreated," he explained.
According to him, such incident could be an indicator for evaluating the performance of Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept. This is because, it is worried there are still many buildings in the capital that have no a decent certification function and minimal supervision.
"The officer must also be evaluated, because they can issue the certificate but not check out the building condition," he finished.
